Founded in 1918 as the first faculty of architecture in Australia, the School of Architecture, Design and Planning has been an internationally acknowledged centre for intellectual, scientific and aesthetic research in architecture and the built environment since its inception. As such, the program attracts the highest quality applicants in Australia and from all over the world.
We seek to appoint a Professor of Architecture with an outstanding record of research in architecture. The role involves research and academic leadership within architecture, and also within the school and university. The role also includes teaching in architecture programs, research student supervision, and undertaking research or research-led practice that advances architecture and its contribution to humanity.
The appointee’s international ambitions for their own work will be matched by their ambition to consolidate the faculty’s reputation as an international centre for architectural research and teaching that makes a significant contribution to the field and addresses real-world problems especially the wicked problems challenging us today.
