The Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at Assistant/Associate/or Full Professor in the School of Architecture in the area of Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. The successful candidate will, first, lead the development of ambitious and relevant research agendas in the areas of urban design, urbanism, and/or landscape architecture; and second, work with the School Chair to shape the future of the Master of Science in Urban Design in the School of Architecture. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

This is a full-time 9-month tenure-track appointment requiring residency in Atlanta, Georgia. Tenure on appointment will be considered for qualified candidates.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include securing and conducting funded research, stewarding the future identity and growth of the Master of Science in Urban Design, mentoring early career researchers, advising MSUD and PhD students, and leading the development of forward-looking curricula in landscape urbanism across the school’s five-degree programs. The candidate will also teach advanced undergraduate and graduate design studios, as well as advanced seminar courses, in the candidate’s area of expertise.

This appointment is scheduled to begin in Fall 2026, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026.
