xFigura Workshop

Pre-conference Workshop

xFigura is an AI-powered platform that enables collaborative ideation and visualization for 2D and 3D design. Envisioned as a “Miro for Architects and Designers,” it brings together 25 of the most advanced generative AI models in a seamless web-based interface. Used by leading architecture practices, xFigura allows you to stay in control while generating visuals and 3D forms from prompts, sketches, or your own models. The session will include a live demo and hands-on training with the platform.
* It is recommended to bring your computer to follow along with the presenter and gain access to xFigura.

Harvard Tour

WALKING TOUR

Established in 1636, the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony established a college in Cambridge and later named it Harvard College for its first benefactor. Harvard is the oldest institution of higher learning in America. Learn the history of the institution and its relationship to the world around it through the rich mix of American architecture and objects. This tour will tell the stories of Harvard’s development over the centuries and the social changes that the university has seen.

Robin Franke Bio

Robin Franke is an Adoption Specialist for Autodesk Forma. Based in New York, she serves as Forma’s subject matter expert for customers in North America. In her role, she educates AEC professionals on how the incorporation of Forma in early-stage architectural workflows can promote data-based decision making that prioritizes sustainable design. Throughout her career, Robin’s passion has always been to create more livable cities and communities across the world. Prior to Autodesk, Robin worked at Esri as a Solution Engineer. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in GeoDesign and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.

WALKING TOUR

Boston: Art, Architecture and Gardens Tour

WALKING TOUR

Stroll along the southern Fens, a section of the Emerald Necklace designed by landscape architect Fredrick Law Olmsted as you learn about the history, stories, and impact that the gardens, architecturally significant buildings and artwork had on society. Understand how 19th-century Boston philanthropists designed and funded institutions to create a city of culture and learning through the arts, sciences and education for residents and immigrants. Look at how they also supported medical and dental services for those in need. Uncover how the tradition continues and the Back Bay Fens represent all of this and more today.
