In his posthumous work, The Projective Cast, Robin Evans conceives of projection as astrategy for coupling architecture and geometry. Acknowledging the long history betweenthe two, Evans emphasizes their tumultuous relationship as they alternate in producing andconsuming the other. In order to do so Evans affords both geometry and architecture disciplinaryautonomy, as neither is reduced to a sub-discipline, a result of or a substitute for theother.
