Author(s): Paweł Przybyłowicz & Krzysztof Koszewski

The article addresses issues pertaining to the teaching of architectural design. These topics have been presented in the context of a didactic project that has been implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology for a duration of 5 years. In 2017, an interdisciplinary and inter-faculty student project was initiated by the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. Within the scope of this project, students from five faculties collectively work on a multi-disciplinary building design, employing BIM technology. The fundamental premise of this project lies in fostering close teamwork among students from diverse industries. This cooperation entails making joint design decisions, duly considering the requirements of other industries. The coordination and communication within the project team are facilitated through the utilization of BIM tools. The article presents the findings derived from the course, assessing the application of such team-based projects in architectural education, and elucidating their significance amidst the changes associated with the implementation of new technologies in the realm of design.
